Tape-in Hair Extensions are hands down are the BEST method on the market. That is why celebrities and fashion icons are choosing to get tape in extensions. Easy to apply, easy to maintain, you don't feel them and they are the best out there. If you are new to extensions or wanting to switch from clips or individual extensions, tape in extensions will be the best choice for you. You will not regret getting the tape in hair extensions. Just get high quality tape extensions and have them applied by a trained professional - this will make your experience that much better with tape extensions.
5 reasons why tape in hair extensions are the best hair extension method: Cost: Tape in hair extensions are the least expensive semi-permanent hair extension method available for both the cost of hair and the application. Why? Tape ins only take less than an hour to apply so that makes the application costs much lower. Also, due to the structure of the tape wefts and how the wefts are applied in the hair, the maintenance costs associated with tape in hair extensions are MUCH lower than any other semi permanent method. The cost of hair for tape in hair extensions are the exact same for a good set of clip in hair extensions and the hair for tape ins are much cheaper than the cost for fusion/micro bead/ i link hair extensions. The construction of tape extensions are 1 inch panels of hair, they are easier to make than the individual extensions. Overall, the cost of tape extensions for hair and a application are MUCH lower overall compared to any other hair extension method. Low Maintenance: Tape in extensions are the easiest hair extension method to maintain due to their thin construction and 1.5 inch width. It is the easiest hair extension to maintain. Most actually forget that they are wearing tape in extensions because they are just that easy to maintain. You tape it and forget it, until about 10-12 weeks when its time to move them up. Note - if you get cheaper non remy tape extensions, you will regret this! They will not last long because tape extensions are worn daily and with low quality hair, they will not last. When it comes to tape extensions, you want to invest into a higher quality tape extension brand. Why? You will save more by spending more in the beginning on high quality tape extensions. How? The higher quality tape extensions will not shed, mat or tangle and they will be reusable. As long as you have a good quality tape in hair extension brand, the maintenance will be super easy and hassle free. Least Damaging: Tape in extensions are the least damaging on the market. They are very lightweight and do not pull on your own hair like other extensions do - they grow out with your own hair and do not tug or pull. Clip in extensions are actually VERY heavy and will cause bald spots if you wear them every day. Note: if you have fine hair, traditional clip ins are not best for you! Individual extensions (fusion, micro, i-tip etc) can be more damaging and tend to tangle more, causing you to lose hair. Tape in hair extensions are non-damaging and very easy to remove. When it comes to hair loss you do NOT want to lose hair from wearing extensions. With tape in hair extensions you will not lose hair or experience any discomfort. This is the goal of hair extensions - damage free and comfortable! Invisible and Flexible: There are so many things you can do with tape extensions that you cannot with clips: wear them in any type of hairstyle: braids, super high ponytails etc. They are really thin and invisible! They are so flexible in your hair too - you cannot feel them when you brush over them or wash them. The best thing about tape in hair extensions compared to individual hair extensions is that when you wash and blow dry your hair they are MUCH more flexible and easier to dry and take care of. The individual extensions are stringy, tend to tangle, and the actual bonds are not as flexible and soft as tape extensions when it comes to washing and blow drying. If you want truly invisible and flexible extensions, tape in hair extensions are the best. Reusable: Tape in extensions are reusable for up to a year, they are good for 3-4 applications. Being able to reuse your hair extensions is such a benefit, especially if you have had your extensions customized with a cut or color. Once you remove the tape extensions you clean them, add new tape. and then re-apply them. That is why getting high quality tape extensions is most important. You want good hair and tape to last through the year, or else you will be removing your new tape extensions within a matter of 4 weeks. However, good quality tape extensions are reusable and this makes it worth trying. Individual extensions are not reusable and clip extensions tend to get worn out within a matter of 6 months (depending on your wear and use). Reusing extensions is worth it especially when you pay to have them cut colored etc. The removal of tape extensions takes only 15 minutes. Whereas the removal of individual extensions can be hours (with hair loss and hair pulling involved)!

Here is an "Egyptian Queen" inspiration for you all on this upcoming Halloween night... ???
I used a few key products on this look from some of my favorite brands:
GLAM HOUSE & ACADEMY now offers the Microblading services in Vancouver & Richmond, BC.
We have a lots of questions about what Microblading is and how it does work or how long it will last ... so here is our answers to you questions: What is Microblading? Microblading is realistic-looking semi permanent eyebrow enhancement that lasts up to 2-3 years. Microblading can modify or restore brow shape, color and thickness. How is Microblading done? A topical numbing cream is applied and takes about 25 minutes to take effect. After discussing what it is you would like to alter or enhance, your new shape is drawn using a temporary marker. We work together to decide what will look best on you! Each individual hair stroke is then meticulously drawn using a special tool that deposits pigment into the upper layer of your skin. The resulting brow will have crisp and very realistic looking hair strokes that no one will guess are not your own. Does it hurt? Each person responds differently to the topical numbing cream but we aim to make the process as comfortable as possible. Should you feel anything as your treatment begins it should quickly improve as we apply a second layer during the procedure itself. I assure you that even if you feel it a little, it's worth it! Will my eyebrows look fake? Absolutely not. The beauty of this technique is just how natural they will look. Whether you are one to do your make-up every morning, or prefer to go without, these brows will frame your face and enhance your features from the moment you get out of bed. No one will know they're not yours. Do I have to remove my existing eyebrow hair? Some stray hairs may be removed if they are outside of the defined area for your new brow shape but the rest of your hairs will stay. Your new Microbladed hairs will blend in with your existing brows. What if I have little to no eyebrow hair? Then Microblading is definitely for you! We will work together to create a soft, natural shape that compliments your facial features. What if I've lost my brows due to cancer treatment? If you are currently undergoing chemotherapy we have to wait until your treatment is complete and your immune system has returned to normal until microblading can be done. If your thin or non-existent brows are due to cancer treatment please let us know. How long do they take to heal? Your brows will look a few shades darker than you are used to for the first few days. As healing takes place you will see a small amount of flaking but this should be complete after the first week. Full healing takes 3-4 weeks. How long do they last? Each person processes the pigment differently, but generally Microbladed brows last from 1-3 years. How does Microblading differ from traditional brow tattoos? Traditional eyebrow tattoos use machines and tattoo needles to deposit thousands of tiny dots of pigment, theres major bleeding & Swelling involved, The result is a more uniform, filled in look. Traditional tattoos are much more of a permanent commitment because the ink is deposited deeper into the skin to last a lifetime. How should I prepare for my appointment? Make sure you don't take any blood thinners 24 hours prior to your treatment. This includes prescription medications as well as NSAIDS (aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc), and alcohol. Don't use any skin care products on the area the day of treatment. Make sure you don't have any events planned for a couple of days afterwords. Although your brows will be immediately selfie-ready & No swelling, they will look quite a bit darker the first few days. Lastly, relax! You're in good hands. How do I know if Microblading is right for me? Thick, healthy brows are the current trend for the younger generations. If you are a little more mature, enhancement of your brows is a smudge proof way to restore your youthful look. Don't worry, these are not one-size-fits-all! Color, hair thickness, brow density, and shape are all customized to what will look best on you. Leave us a comment or private message if you have more questions. I was so excited about her wedding since we started meeting each other for her trial. Leena and I have SO much in common that is creepy. It’s like we were meant to meet each other. P.S we are friends now!
I did her makeup for the Western style Ceremony & Indian style Reception. I love love love love Leena's dresses. I loved glamming up her mother & her lovely bridesmaids (Hair & Makeup). Sure enough, we got super lucky for a January wedding. Not only wasn't a rainy day – the day was full of so much love. You can tell in the photos how much Leena & Edvin love each other. Leena told me that the day ended up being perfect, and it was exactly how she visioned it. Vancouver, BC - ©2015
From the minute that Chantelle came to my studio for her wedding makeup session I knew she was going to be an absolutely amazing client! Having some makeup sessions for different occasions and going through the details of her wedding day, I was almost dieing inside. :)
I absolutely loved her mother, sister & bridesmaids. <3 Tags: Hair & Makeup: Makeup By Nilou Photography: Cliff Ma Photography I usually try to avoid using the chemical products to get rid of my open pores, dead skin, acne or dry skin. I always try to make my own organic skin care products at home :) In my opinion your scrub is completely natural unlike many store-bought exfoliates. You also save money and resources by re-purposing your foods instead of throwing them out. Here is my routine DIY skin care solutions. I researched and studied about each of them and I've been using them for years : 1. Rice Powder & Lemon Scrub | Face & Neck: Grind 2 tbsp of Rice (any kind) + Half of the Lemon.Press the lemon into the rice powder.Use this on your face using circular motion and be gentle. Do this 2 times a week to get desired results. *Why Rice powder & Lemon??! Rice removes dead skin cells and also helps in skin whitening. Rice powder and lemon scrub is effective if you have dark spots as it reduces them and gives you even skin tone. 2. Coffee Powder ,Olive oil & Sugar Scrub| Body : Mix Coffee, Oil and brown sugar. Use it on your neck & body with circular motion. Do it when you're in the shower. Its easier to wash it out later. *Why Coffee ??! While you won't ingest nearly as much caffeine when your coffee is on your skin instead of in your cup, the caffeine from used coffee grounds can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite and give your skin a firmer appearance. Also exfoliating with coffee grounds improves circulation, leaving you with smooth, glowing skin. 3.Lemon & Baking Soda Scrub| Blackheads: mix 2 tablespoons baking soda with 1 tablespoon of honey and combine to make a stiff and very sticky paste that I apply to my face. Nothing fancy, just 2 everyday ingredients and 10 minutes of your time. *Why Honey / Baking Soda??! Hone is natural antibacterial properties, wonderful antioxidants and moisturizing benefits and I always have baking soda in my house it’s a great multipurpose product to use for eliminating odor and exfoliating the skin. That's how I keep my remedies in my beauty bar :) Cute idea, isn't it? How do you deal with the nasty blackhead dilemma or with your cellulite ? Do you use a store bought product or do you use your own personal DIY remedy? Share below. I would love to see what you’re using or purchased. Xoxo
