I usually try to avoid using the chemical products to get rid of my open pores, dead skin, acne or dry skin. I always try to make my own organic skin care products at home :) In my opinion your scrub is completely natural unlike many store-bought exfoliates. You also save money and resources by re-purposing your foods instead of throwing them out. Here is my routine DIY skin care solutions. I researched and studied about each of them and I've been using them for years : 1. Rice Powder & Lemon Scrub | Face & Neck: Grind 2 tbsp of Rice (any kind) + Half of the Lemon.Press the lemon into the rice powder.Use this on your face using circular motion and be gentle. Do this 2 times a week to get desired results. *Why Rice powder & Lemon??! Rice removes dead skin cells and also helps in skin whitening. Rice powder and lemon scrub is effective if you have dark spots as it reduces them and gives you even skin tone. 2. Coffee Powder ,Olive oil & Sugar Scrub| Body : Mix Coffee, Oil and brown sugar. Use it on your neck & body with circular motion. Do it when you're in the shower. Its easier to wash it out later. *Why Coffee ??! While you won't ingest nearly as much caffeine when your coffee is on your skin instead of in your cup, the caffeine from used coffee grounds can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite and give your skin a firmer appearance. Also exfoliating with coffee grounds improves circulation, leaving you with smooth, glowing skin. 3.Lemon & Baking Soda Scrub| Blackheads: mix 2 tablespoons baking soda with 1 tablespoon of honey and combine to make a stiff and very sticky paste that I apply to my face. Nothing fancy, just 2 everyday ingredients and 10 minutes of your time. *Why Honey / Baking Soda??! Hone is natural antibacterial properties, wonderful antioxidants and moisturizing benefits and I always have baking soda in my house it’s a great multipurpose product to use for eliminating odor and exfoliating the skin. That's how I keep my remedies in my beauty bar :) Cute idea, isn't it? How do you deal with the nasty blackhead dilemma or with your cellulite ? Do you use a store bought product or do you use your own personal DIY remedy? Share below. I would love to see what you’re using or purchased. Xoxo
